Omg, that’s one of the worst. People need to be seriously educated on what we deal with. Darting into our stopping distance space is also infuriating! Unfortunately, no one cares in this “me first” world. They see trucks as an inconvenience even though they want all the life benefits that we haul for THEM!

Today a trucker came off of a gravel road and threw a rock at my new Maverick pickup and put a dent and scratch on my drivers side, so what now, fuckin truckers can lighten up and be courteous towards others, how many windshields do 18 wheelers breaK????

Truckers are no different they like to visit with another collage driving side by each at 50 mph heading up a hill and they drive for miles and miles and no one can pass, talk about taking a defensive driving course and try respecting others ok take the course to everyone.

Well to be honest its all because people dont merge when the signs say to, and this is the results of that. If people merged when at the time they're supposed to traffic would flow flawlessly

Been driving for 48 years all over the country and the bucket was too slow getting back over where it belonged.

That's not a merge and that guy should get a ticket. If you make it clear in your driver's test and you put up signs, it'll work. Other countries do it, why can't we?

Dude! You will not believe how many OTHER truckers I see on a regularly basis speeding in construction zones. And I’m not talking about just 5mph over the limit. Usually 10-15mph over. AND they tailgate other vehicles going that are driving at or even above the speed limit but slower than them.

On one lane road, cars can go a speed limit or 9 miles above. On a 2 lane roads, the left lane is for passing, and you should be driving faster than the right lane. That car sped up so the tractor-trailer wouldn't have to try to pass. Different states have different traffic laws.

I don't get the point of wanting to get ahead. Traffic is all moving at the same pace. Why push ahead of a truck without knowing if there's space for you to merge? They should give common sense tests before handing out licenses.

I try my best not to do this so ill let trucks go at times or if its a big opening then im going for it

My car did this to me before when a car Infront had stopped to turn right I was no where near it scared the shit out of me

It better to que up in line and back up the traffic leaving 20km of open lane that no one uses. It's been proven to be much safer because everything comes to a stand still for potentially an hour or two.

Here on the east coast (more specifically NYC area is 1 for 1 for all cars and trucks, but for semi is 2 for 1(during heavy traffic).I think it’s a good system, merging for semis 1 for 1 is wildly inefficient.to slow to accelerate and slow to slow down and requires much more room between cars. I would imagine as long as you’re not on either coast (major cities) you probable don’t have enough traffic for long enough for any of this to really matter.

You just need to remember that it isnt a race, you are not in competition with them and it only cost you a fraction of a second in journey time.
